Cabinet Shelf Retrofit
THE DESIGN PROBLEM
Existing refrigerated cabinets required additional internal storage capacity without redesigning the cabinet architecture.
The challenge was to develop a robust shelf system that could be retrofitted onto existing production units while maintaining structural integrity, accessibility, and compatibility with surrounding hardware.
RETROFIT DEPLOYMENT
Designed a cost-effective retrofit shelf system that integrated directly into the existing cabinet architecture, including under-shelf lighting for improved visibility. Prototyped and validated the design for fit, strength, and accessibility. Finalized a simple, adjustable design that was easy to manufacture, assemble, and install.
